GiftBar — Privacy Policy

GiftBar ("the app") helps Shopify merchants run free-gift-with-purchase offers. This policy explains what data the app processes and why.

Data we process

The app reads the store's product catalog (titles, prices, images) so merchants can pick a gift product, and it creates and manages one automatic discount in the store on the merchant's behalf. Offer configuration (thresholds, gift product, display texts) is stored by the app.

Data we do NOT collect

GiftBar stores no customer personal data: no names, emails, addresses, payment details, order records, or identifiers of any kind. Carts are evaluated inside Shopify's own discount runtime at checkout and by a small script in the shopper's browser; neither sends anything to our servers. No cookies, no tracking.

Data retention and deletion

Offer configuration is kept while the app is installed. Uninstalling the app removes its discount automatically, and all stored data for the shop is permanently deleted in response to Shopify's shop redaction webhook.
